Hampi the city of ruins

It was a 4 Day Bike Trip starting from Bangalore. One of the UNESCO world heritage sites, HAMPI. It is a small village in the northern part of Karnataka State in India.

One of the richest and largest cities in the world during its prime. It is located within the ruins of the city of Vijayanagara, the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire.

We started our journey at 6 AM from Bangalore. We going to Hampi with a lot of expectations as we had heard so much about it and seen such wonderful pictures.

Started from Bangalore Nelamangala toll road to Chitradurga route via NH4 and NH13. Below is the Route Map, It took 6 hours to reach Hampi.

We reach there around 12 Noon, Hampi was really Hot in the Day time, the Amazing part was We have to Cross the River to reach our Resort, as it was another side of Tungabhadra River, people also call it Hippie Island,   We load our Bike on boat to cross the river and then finally reached our Destination which is a Riverside Resort with Wonderful view of  Paddy field and Tungabhadra River, along with Virupaksha Temple.
